The Glass Pavillion

The Glass Pavilion of the Toledo Art Museum was a fantastic experience! It is incredible to think that because of the Black Swamp this area was so rich in natural resources that the a huge number of glass companies were able to be prosperous. What kinds of materials were needed for the production of glass? What was available in this area that the glass prodution needed? What was your favorite part of your art museum experience?
Would you like to be a glassblower? Why or why not?

  2. There was a lot of glass products in the pavilion, in particular, a bunch of glass on the ceiling, which looks like cuttlefishes was marvelous. After we looked around the various exhibits, we could see how they are making the glass. Even making one bowl of glass, they spent a lot of time. One of the most exciting things was that the glass was really small at first, but it later became really big.

  3. We went to Art Museum in Toledo. It was fantastic but the most fantastic was the dress. It amazing me and it was the best part for me in this Art .I don't like to a glassblower because I think it is hard and it need to someone strong to blow. But maybe I change my opinion if I try and find it easy to blow.

  5. I really like what you all have to say about glass and the process of making something of glass. You all seem to agree that it takes a lot of time and patience to make something of glass. I, personally, really like the way that blowing glass is primarily a community activity. Most glassblowers work together to make the glass product. I think it would be fun also to try to make something.
